Exam Basics
The examination is the Licensing Examination, commonly referred to as HKDLE. It is administered by the Dental Council of Hong Kong.
The HKDLE is mainly intended for dentists who obtained their dental degree outside Hong Kong and wish to pursue dental registration and practice in Hong Kong.
The examination normally follows the sequence of Part 1 → Part 2 → Part 3. Candidates must pass Part 1 before applying for Part 2 and Part 3. Part 2 and Part 3 may be applied for together after passing Part 1.
The examination is usually held twice a year, around May and October. Exact application, review, examination and result release dates are subject to official announcements.
